Welcome to my family childcare/preschool home in Roseville! Where I try to provide your children with a first-class early development experience. I focus on children ages 20 months to 5 years and our program consists of 10 -12 children on average which means no more than a 6 children to 1 adult ratio.

JONI HUFFMAN – OWNER
My family childcare preschool home has been licensed and in good standing since 2003, by me, Joni Huffman, a parent of three wonderful children. I love to read, travel, and spending time with family. I decided to start a childcare business to stay home with my own children. Shortly thereafter I took formal early childhood education through the UC Davis Ext., have completed over 250 professional growth hours through Child Action, Inc. and PCOE. With PCOE, I have also been certified on positive discipline techniques and hold parent training programs for families that are interested. Currently I have 12 ECE units. I have had the honor of being a Mentor Provider for Placer County Office Of Education and their Training, Enrichment, and Mentoring Program for the past 3 years.
MISS SARA – ASSISTANT
Miss Sara is currently attending Sierra College studying in their Early Childhood Education Program with a goal of becoming a speech pathologist. Sara attends professional growth workshops through PCOE and is eager to learn new ideas to bring to our program. In her spare time, Sara enjoys camping, music, and spending time with her family. She brings great energy and is amazing with the children. We are blessed to have her working with us.
The curriculum used is a creative/project style curriculum that encourages creativity through themes and process art. The children are also encouraged to problem solve, learn pre-k skills, decision making, and self-help while promoting interpersonal communications through play and group activities. These are key elements which contribute to the child’s development, self esteem and school readiness. Among these elements, the safety, health, and well being of the children are always a number one priority. I also strive for a stress free environment and believe that children learn best when they are in a comfortable and caring setting.
Parent/provider communication is strongly encouraged because I believe that communication between parent and provider is vital to the child’s success and happiness. The parent/provider relationship must be one of mutual trust, honesty and respect.
